Steadfast Construction was born in 2021 to meet a need in our community. We saw a need for a custom home builder that based their entire business model on the Word of God. From the extreme attention to detail on our builds, to the way we care deeply for the well-being of the families we serve, Steadfast Construction exists to Glorify God in all that we do. We fly our flags out front. We are unapologetically a company committed to Christian Ethics, managed and operated by Christian Men, standing on God’s Word, for His Glory and the Good of Indiana.

Around the same time that Steadfast Construction was being launched, my wife (Kristen) began having unexplained health symptoms. Severe lack of energy, brain-fog, headaches, neurological issues, fertility issues, sensory sensitivities, etc. plagued her day to day. After numerous doctors misdiagnosing and/or dismissing the symptoms, we began a journey to discover the root cause of these issues. After a long season of praying and searching we found that the environment of our home was slowly undermining her/our health.

As a builder, this was a seriously painful revelation. I felt that the system had failed us once again (shocking I know). I have always built well beyond code standards. I knew all the standardized wall and roof details, used premium materials, and took pride in all my work. I was no longer satisfied with the status quo. I had to ensure that the homes I would be building in the future created environments for families to thrive in every way.

Through resources like Building a Healthy and Resilient Home published by Practical Healthy Homes, LLC (Jen Jobart) and other platforms, I began to see the extreme disparity between current building practices and good Building Science. These programs weren’t just giving me information they were laying the groundwork for a wise, steadfast way to build.
